Iris Line Portfolio * Click on Image to see larger view
My well established and always popular Iris Line is pictured below.
Each Iris is individually carved by me when the piece is still damp and then painted after the piece as been fired for the first time.
I never tire of the Irises and am always trying to carve that perfect Iris, the one that looks that it comes straight from the garden or has a watercolor quality to it, like a Monet waterlilly.
To help me, my friends bring me Irises from their gardens every May and I photograph them, so that I can keep the images in front of me for inspiration, each time I carve an Iris.
